There are few filmmakers in the genre that have left their mark like Mr. Herschell Gordon Lewis has. Today...we pay homage to the Godfather of Gore.
I got into H.G. Lewis when I was a kid. The Gore Gore Girls was my initiation into his world of gore...mostly because it had the words "Gore Gore Girls" in the title and all I wanted to do at that tender age was watch naked girls and gore. Simple. However, when the credits rolled....I was mortified. So, I watched it again. And again. It wasn't long before I found my way through Lewis' entire catalog. It was a great time in my life, as well as the lives of many genre fans the world over eager for a new vision of gore.
Today, I'd like to share with you...The Gore Gore Girls and The Wizard of Gore. Both films are dear to my heart...and I hope you enjoy them.
