HAPPY DEVIANT THANKSGIVING!

As much as we only really celebrate one particular holiday throughout the year around these parts (Halloween), we do want to acknowledge that today is an American symbol of giving thanks. Despite the fact that the holiday reflects a time in our great nation's history when a race came over to a country and forcefully took the land from another race. Kinda like you and your family performing a home invasion and then preparing a hearty meal with the victims' food. But, we won't get into the bloodshed and historical significance surrounding an otherwise wholesome holiday. Instead...we have a special treat for you!

Thanks to Matt Dean, who usually provides us with his awesome weekly BLOODY STREAMS series, we have for you below 5 films that circle around the Thanksgiving holiday. It's our way of giving THANKS to you guys for tuning in all the time and reading our little dark corner of the internet. Without you, Film Deviant would just be a sad little blog somewhere rambling on about the importance of the film Demons  in today's society. So...THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

FILM DEVIANT's 5 FILMS TO BE THANKFUL FOR
(In no particular order)

ThanksKilling (2009)

I'll say it a million times...I love this film.

Home Sweet Home (1981)

Underrated 80's slasher that features Jake Steinfeld at his awesomest.

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006)

I wish Troma did more stuff like this these days.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Nothing compares to Hooper's original Massacre.

Bad Taste (1987)

One of Peter Jackson's greatest moments in films.

BONUS:

Eli Roth's Thanksgiving  trailer

Hopefully...he'll shoot a film for this trailer one day.

HAPPY DEVIANT THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
