So, the new teaser for S-VHS is out!
The original V/H/S made our BEST OF 2012 list...so, when we first heard news of a sequel we were instantly excited. However, this one is set to premiere at Sundance this month...so, if feels a little rushed. Usually, when sequels are rushed out by movie studios based on the surprising success of the first film...it seldom bodes well. On the other hand...the talent involved for this new entry is pretty goddamn impressive!
Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Evans and Jason Eisener have director duties this time around. So, if the thought of having the directors of Hobo With A Shotgun, The Blair Witch Project and The Raid: Redemption helm an anthology horror film isn't enough to get your enthusiasm flowing...I don't know what is.
By the looks of this trailer...it appears that we are in store for zombies, big monsters and all kinds of crazy found-footage shit going on. The official synopsis involves a couple of investigators looking for some missing kid. During their search...they break into an abandoned house and discover a collection of video cassettes that may or may not have anything to do with the missing kid. Simple enough...right?
